Radio Estafette, Cinekid and Nerves Like Nylon

I just finished working on two radio-related projects. The 'Radio-Estafette' is a very interesting concept created by Maartje Duin: Five people from different disciplines work together. The first one makes a short piece - a documentary, a radio-drama, a soundscape, a song - and gives it to the next one who creates a new piece inspired on what's been given. I am the third in the row, and created a soundscape. The Radio-Estafette will be broadcasted on sunday, november 15th at 21:00 on radio 1.

For the
Cinekid festival I collaborated with Tjitske Mussche on a 1-minute project for children. Tjitske wrote and recorded the text while I created the music and sounds for this 1-minute radio play about a fox chasing a rabbit. The minute can be heard at Cinekid.

And after a year and a half the contemporary dance piece Nerves Like Nylon by
Maria Ramos is coming back on stage, this time in Portugal. For this new version there will be a revised version of the soundtrack as well.

A new site: Everyday Listening

The last month I have been working on Blikkenoorlog, a contemporary dance project by Sacha Steenks. We just concluded the project with four performances at the Melkweg, Amsterdam.

And now it is time for something new! I just launched a new site:
www.everydaylistening.com

It’s a website where I collect interesting and inspiring sound related projects and articles, aimed at anyone who likes to listen a bit more carefully to what is happening around us. I plan to post links, recordings, write reviews of experimental music and places. To inspire and to get inspired.
